Woman assaulted in and outside car in Weymouth
The victim was helped by three young males afterwards
A woman's been assaulted both in and outside of a car in Weymouth, with police asking witnesses to come forward.
The victim, in her 20s, was attacked by a man known to her in the Bowleaze Cove area, between 5.30 and 7.30pm on Saturday (26th October).
It's reported the pair were in a black BMW 1 series.
The woman was further assaulted after she got out if the vehicle, with three young males then helping her.
She needed hospital treatment for her injuries, but they're not described as serious.
PC Joe Henderson, from Dorset Police, said:
“We are continuing to investigate this incident and I would urge anyone with information that might assist our enquiries to please contact us.
“I am particularly keen to speak to the three young individuals who came to the woman’s aid in Bowleaze Coveway on the evening of Saturday 26 October 2024 as they may have important information to assist the investigation.
“I would also urge residents in the area with home CCTV systems, or any motorists with dashcam who were in the vicinity, to please review footage from the relevant time period to see if they have captured anything that could help us.”
