Two men assaulted in broad daylight on Bournemouth's Square

One victim was headbutted, with the other having his finger bitten

Two men have been assaulted in broad daylight in Bournemouth's Square, with police releasing a CCTV image.

The victims were involved in an altercation with another man at around 10.20am on Sunday (10th March).

One of them was headbutted, while the other was bitten on the finger and needed hospital treatment for a hand injury.

Police have shared a CCTV picture of a man they want to trace in connection with the incident.

Detective Constable Gregory Plant, of Bournemouth CID, said:

“We take reports of public place violence of this nature very seriously and we are conducting a full investigation into this incident.

“We have obtained CCTV images of a man we would like to identify as part of our enquiries and I would urge anyone who recognises him to please contact us.”
