Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital after crash near Dorchester

A motorcyclist has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries, following a crash near Dorchester.

The 25 year old man from Maiden Newton was riding a BETA bike which collided with a Mini Cooper on Rectory Road in Piddlehinton at around 7.40am yesterday morning (Tuesday 31st October).

Dorset Police say they're now looking for information into what happened.

PC Steve Eastwood, of the Roads Policing Team, said:

“We are conducting a detailed investigation to establish the full circumstances of this collision and I am keen to hear from any witnesses to the incident.

“I would also urge anyone who may have captured any relevant dashcam footage to please contact us.

“Finally, I would like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding during the road closures as these were necessary to allow the emergency services to respond and for an examination of the scene to be conducted.”
