Man seriously injured after being knocked down by car on driveway in Poole

A man has been seriously injured after being hit by a car on a driveway in Poole.

The collision happened at around 10.25am yesterday morning (Wednesday 21 February) at an address in Fitzworth Avenue.

Officers attended with the ambulance service and the pedestrian was taken to hospital to receive treatment for serious injuries.

Two men – aged in their 50s and 60s and from Poole – have been arrested on suspicion of driving offences.

Police Constable Joshua Alner, of the traffic unit, said: “An investigation is underway to establish the full circumstances and I would ask members of the public who saw what happened and have not yet spoken to police to please come forward.

“I am also appealing to anyone in the community who may have captured anything of relevance on home CCTV or dashcam footage to please come forward.”
