Man charged after teenager stabbed in Poole

Detectives made 8 arrests in connection with the incident

A second man has been charged in connection with a stabbing at an address in Poole.

Dorset Police received a report at 12.05am on Friday 23 August of a disturbance at an address in Vale Road.

It was reported that an 18-year-old man had been assaulted and sustained stab wounds. He was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said:

"Following enquiries, a 15-year-old boy from Poole was previously arrested and charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and threatening with a bladed article. He is due to appear at Bournemouth Crown Court on Thursday 26 September 2024.

"After further enquiries, a 19-year-old man from the Blandford area – who was previously arrested in connection with the incident – has been re-arrested and charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and threatening with a bladed article. He is due to appear at Poole Magistrates Court on Thursday 26 September 2024. "

Detectives have previously made a number of other arrests in connection with the incident:

• A 16-year-old girl from Bournemouth arrested on suspicion of affray remains on police bail

• A 16-year-old boy from Poole arrested on suspicion of attempted murder remains on police bail

• A 17-year-old boy from Poole arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender remains on police bail

• A 15-year-old boy from Poole arrested on suspicion of attempted murder remains on police bail

• Another 16-year-old boy from Poole arrested on suspicion of attempted murder remains on police bail

• A 16-year-old boy from Poole arrested on suspicion of affray and assisting an offender remains on police bail

• A 56-year-old man from Poole arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender remains released under investigation

• A 35-year-old woman from Poole arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender remains released under investigation.
