Man suffers broken leg in Shaftesbury incident

Police are looking into how he came to be injured

A man's suffered a broken leg in an incident in Shaftesbury, with police trying to work out how he become injured.

Officers were called to Coppice Street, outside the town's football club, at around 1.20am on Sunday (22nd September).

The victim, in his 30s was taken to hospital.

A man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent and been bailed while investigations continue.

PC Matt Barrett, of Dorset County CID, said:

“I am carrying out enquiries to establish exactly what happened and how the man sustained his injuries.

“I would ask anyone who was in the area and saw what happened to please contact Dorset Police.”
