Man arrested on suspicion of arson following Poole incidents
Several fires have been reported in one street in the last year
Police investigating a series of arson attacks in Poole have made an arrest.
14 incidents, including several vehicle fires, have been reported in Princess Road in Westbourne between December 2023 and November this year.
A man in his 40s has been questioned on suspicion of arson and bailed while further investigations are carried out.
Sergeant Euan Douglas, of the Poole Neighbourhood Policing Team, said:
“We have been continuing to work with our partners in the local authority and fire service in response to this series of reported incidents and have been conducting additional patrols alongside our investigation.
“We have also been engaging regularly with the local community around this issue and would like to thank them for their support and assistance during our enquiries. We would continue to urge members of the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to police.”
