Lyme Regis road reopens to traffic after landslip
Dorset Council's been working with the landowner on Cobb Road
A Lyme Regis road, that had been closed for more than a week following a landslip, has reopened to traffic.
Hundreds or tonnes of soil dropped towards Cobb Road during Storm Bert at the end of last month.
Dorset Council shut the route for safety reasons while a solution was sorted out.
They've said the landowner's been working hard on repairs, with tonnes of material removed, sheet pilling installed to shore up the land, and deep draining works taking place.
Temporary traffic measures have been put in place to allow contractors to continue working, but one lane has been opened up for traffic to pass by safely.
Dorset Council's thanked local people for their 'patience and understanding during the closure', saying 'it is very much appreciated'.
