Four burglaries have been reported to Dorset Police across one afternoon, with officers linking the cases.

They all happened on Monday afternoon (3rd July).

In one incident, a property in Higher Clatcombe was broken into, with jewellery and a wallet stolen, sometime between 12.00pm and 3.50pm.

Another burglary in the same village, reported at around 11.20pm, saw watches and jewellery taken.

Cash and jewellery was stolen from a house in Fontmell Magna, between 11.45am and 3.00pm on the same day.

A property in Twyford was also broken into at around 12.30pm, but it's not believed anything was taken there.

In all the cases, offenders are thought to have been wearing light coloured clothing and dark baseball caps.

Sergeant Natalie Skinner, of Dorset Police’s Rural Crime Team, said:

“We are carrying out enquiries into these incidents, which we believe may be linked.

“I would ask anyone who saw or heard suspicious activity in the rural areas mentioned during the daytime on Monday 3 July 2023 to please get in touch.

“Also, I am keen to speak to any residents who may have captured anything of relevance on home CCTV or doorbell camera footage.”
