Police in Ferndown seek driver after three vehicle collision
One of the drivers involved left the scene after the crash
Police are investigating a three vehicle crash in Ferndown, with one of the drivers leaving the scene afterwards.
The collision happened on the B3078 Christchurch Road near the Parley Cross junction, at around 4.50pm on Thursday (7th December).
A silver Vauxhall Astra, a blue Mitsubishi L200 and a blue Kia Ceed was involved, with the male driver of the Astra making off from the scene.
He is described as:
- Between five feet nine inches and six feet tall
- Thin build
- Dark, scruffy beard
- Wearing a dark-coloured hooded anorak
- Dark tracksuit bottoms
- Beanie hat
No-one was seriously hurt in the crash, with the junction having to be closed while investigations and recovery took place.
PC Kier Dagnall, of the Roads Policing Team, said:
“This incident resulted in the closure of a major junction, and it is fortunate that no one was seriously injured. I would like to thank motorists for their patience and understanding during the closure.
“We are carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances of the collision. I would urge any witnesses to the collision itself, or the manner of driving of the vehicles involved, to please contact us.
“I would also like to hear from motorists who may have captured any relevant dashcam footage.
“I would also urge the driver who allegedly made off from the scene to come forward and contact us so we can hear their account of the incident.”
