A number of cars have had catapults fired towards them in Verwood, in broad daylight from a moving car.

It's reported the occupants of a silver Suzuki Vitara carried out the attacks in the Home Farm Road and Station Road area at around 3.00pm last Wednesday (30th August).

The window of a barbers shop on Ringwood Road was also damaged around the same time, by a catapult shot.

PC Chandler Organ, of East Dorset police, said:

“The individuals involved in these incidents have put the public at significant risk of harm with their actions. We are determined to identify those responsible so we can take robust action against them.

“We are conducting a number of enquiries and I am keen to hear from anyone who witnessed these incidents or captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.”

Witnesses, or anyone with information is asked to call officers on 101, quoting reference number 55230137364, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
