Car stolen following large fight outside Bridport bar

A 24 year old man from Dorchester has been arrested

A car's been stolen in Bridport following a fight involving a large group of young people.

Police were called to East Street just before 2.00am on Friday 29th September, after the altercation broke out outside a bar.

Two of the men who were part of the group allegedly left the scene in a light blue BMW.

That was found around 40 minutes later, having been crashed into a wall in West Street.

A 24 year old man from Dorchester has been arrested on suspicion of theft and released on bail.

PC Jack White, of Dorset Police, said:

“We have been carrying out enquiries into this vehicle theft and we are appealing to members of the public for further information and assistance.

“I would also like to ask anyone who was driving in the Bridport area around the time of the incidents to please check any dashcam footage they may have stored to see if they have captured anything of relevance.”
