Police appeal for witnesses after man airlifted following A595 collision

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was airlifted to hospital following a collision on the A595 near Cockermouth.

Emergency services were called to the A595 in the Woodhall area, at the junction for Bridekirk, shortly before 3:45pm on 7 August.

A red Citroen Berlingo van and a BMW motorcycle were involved.

The rider of the motorcycle, a man in his 30s, sustained serious injuries.

Anyone who witnesses the collision or has information that can assist Cumbria Police is being urged to report online, or call 101, quoting incident number 136 of 7 August 2024.
