It's a sell-out.

Kendal Calling returns to the stunning Lowther Deer Park in less than one week, rising up as Cumbria’s biggest town.

For the 19th consecutive year, Kendal Calling is officially sold out.

World-class artists this year include five headliners: Paolo Nutini, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, The Streets, Paul Heaton with Rianne Downey, and Keane.

Also, rather surprisingly, there is to be a DJ set from Gary Neville, as he prepares to swap out his ball skills for his deck skills, as he goes B2B with Tim Burgess.

Andy Smith, Founder of Kendal Calling said:

"Although we’ve sold out each year since 2006, we never rest on our laurels and it’s always a wonderfully fulfilling moment when that final ticket is snapped up. We are lucky to have a fantastically loyal community of Kendal Calling festival goers - many who return each year, others who are yet to discover the magic that’s set to unfold. So thank you one and all, we are very excited to welcome you through the gates of our home at Lowther Deer Park in less than one week."

There's also a push this year to make the event more 'green'.

In a statement, organisers said:

"Over the last couple of years, we have made tremendous progress towards becoming a more sustainable festival.

"We have eliminated 45,000 kilos of CO2 with our reusable cup scheme, we have ensured no waste goes to landfill and most importantly, we have increased the amount of tents taken home at the end of the festival to 98.07%

"This year, we ask you to help us go one step further. We're aiming for no tent left behind.

"That's right! Zero. We are aiming for every single tent to be taken home at the end of the weekend. It's a big ask but we know that if we all do our bit - together, we can accomplish this incredible feat.

"Be a part of something monumental. Take your tent home."
