Carlisle United appoint new Sporting Director
Rob Clarkson starts on Monday.
Carlisle United have appointed of Rob Clarkson as the club’s new Sporting Director.
The 37-year-old started his career at Sunderland AFC where he was a scholar.
He then went on to study Sport and Exercise Development at the University of Sunderland and also has a PGCE teaching qualification.
His roles in football have included academy coaching at Sunderland AFC where he spent four years.
He then went on to Premier League side Manchester City where he was a performance analyst until 2017.
In 2017 he left Manchester to join Glasgow side Rangers as Head of Domestic Scouting. He spent five years at Ibrox before joining the FA as Talent ID Lead for the England pathway.

Rob Clarkson said:

He officially starts his role on Monday.
