A charity supporting male mental health in Rugby are raising awareness about the power of talking to people about how you feel.

Set up after the passing of Police Officer Marc Forth, Back and Forth Men's Mental Health promote conversation among men and with their loved ones.

The group hold events and walks around the community, with the aim of opening difficult conversations about how men are doing.

Back and Forth co-founder Liam Stein told us that suicide among younger men is the biggest killer. He said, " 84 men a week commit suicide and it's the biggest killer in men under 50.

"Yes, there is help out there for men, but it's very not that easy to get a hold of, you know, it's it's the waiting times for therapy. It's the waiting times for counselling."

He says the group create safe spaces for men to talk about themselves whether that is in person or through their Facebook group.

He told Greatest Hits Radio, "We're trying to create that safe space where if men don't want to talk, they can come along to a group and maybe just listen.

"Something might spark that interest to go. You know what? I yeah, I need to talk to these.

"If you don't feel like you want to talk, we have a WhatsApp group, we have a Facebook group and put anything you want in say."

Liam told us that the charity are in the process of launching a podcast for men who wanted to listen in to their advice without reaching out.
