Man dies in motorbike crash in Penzance

Police are appealing for witnesses after a fatal road traffic collision in Penzance.

Officers were called to reports of a single-vehicle collision involving a white Honda motorbike, on the A30 at Eastern Green, Penzance, at around 2.35am on Friday 31 January.

The motorcyclist, a 36-year-old man, sustained serious injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

Officers from the Devon and Cornwall Roads Policing Team attended the incident and carried out a detailed investigation of the scene.

The road was closed for several hours whilst the investigation took place and was reopened at around 11.05am.
