The fire service attended a road traffic collision in the Lizard's Mount Hermon area this morning which left a vehicle overturned in a ditch with one casualty trapped.

The incident took place on the A3083 at around twenty to ten and crews from Mullion, Helston and St Keverne attended.

Crews helped the person trapped inside to escape from the vehicle and they then administered first aid.

The road was temporarily closed at this location to allow crews a safe space for working, however it has now been reopened.

Firefighters remained with the casualty until the arrival of paramedics to assess their injuries.
