The Cornish community is being showcased every weekend in November with the brand new Be Newquay Festival.

The festival is set to showcase the Cornish community with music, creativity, wellness, arts, workshops, theatre, comedy, and more.

Taking place across different venues in the town centre, from St Michael’s Church to the Killacourt, the programme of either free or affordable activities, events, pop-up performances and workshops has been designed to engage, inspire, and entertain the local community and visitors of all ages.

You can enjoy performances by local band Kana this weekend (1-3rd Nov), Immersive theatre experiences under moonlit skies on the 15th & 16th November and even take part in Belly-board painting on the 2nd & 9th of November.

The festivals finale weekend will also allow visitors to check out a number of exhibitions, installations, walks, talks, and workshops.

For those looking to recharge and focus on the art of de-stressing, the festival will offer a range of wellness workshops that focus on practices such as mindfulness, meditation, yoga, sauna and breathwork.

Two large murals have also been revealed with another being painted throughout the festival and today, Saturday 2nd November has seen the return of the Newquay Market.

You can find out more about the full line up of events on the Be Newquay Festival website.
