Baby loss remembrance service held in Cornwall
The Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust is hosting its annual service at Truro Catholic Church
A service is being held in Truro to support families and friends of those who have experienced baby loss.
The Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust will be holding its Annual Baby Remembrance Service on Sunday 13 October at 3pm.
Reverend Kirsten Richards, Healthcare Chaplain at the Royal Cornwall Hospital, said:
"During the service we will be remembering the precious babies who have passed away and who continue to be held dear in our hearts. The Service will be uplifting and comforting, with a programme of selected poems and readings, music, an act of Remembrance, and the placing of hearts on a Memory Tree.
"The service will last approximately 45-50 minutes and will be followed by refreshments. Everyone is welcome to join us."
The service, which is planned and prepared by both the hospital chaplains and the Bereavement Specialist Midwives, takes place each year during National Baby Loss Awareness week. Over the years, the remembrance service has offered a meaningful and uplifting forum for comfort and mutual support.
This years’ service will be held at Truro Catholic Church, St Austell Street, Truro TR1 1SE.
