It's thought a fire in a South Gloucestershire car park that destroyed several vehicles, was started by an electrical fault.

The blaze broke out yesterday morning (13th May) just off Gloucester Road in Patchway near the old Filton Airfield, causing a large plume of black smoke to rise over the area.

The Avon Fire Service needed three high pressure hose reels and three 45mm jets to put it out, with crews from Patchway, Southmead, Temple, Thornbury and Yate called in to help.

A spokesperson for the Fire Service says they believe it started accidentally.
