A detective at Avon and Somerset Police, who's accused of pretending to work from home, will face a misconduct hearing this week.

Detective Constable Philippa Baskwill faces allegations that she weighed down laptop keys to make it look like she was working.

A notice about the meeting gives some extra details about the allegations against DC Baskwill:

"Whilst working from home, on numerous occasions DC Philippa Baskwill weighted down keys on her laptop keyboard for considerable periods of time in order to give the misleading impression that she was working.

"On several occasions, while working from home, DC Philippa Baskwill spent considerable and extended periods of time online for non-policing purposes, rather than carrying out her policing duties.

"It is contended that (if proven) the allegations amount to gross misconduct."

Avon and Somerset Police say an accelerated misconduct hearing will take place on Thursday (10th April).

The hearing will be chaired by the Chief Constable of Avon and Somerset, Sarah Crew.
