Detectives in Cornwall have been given more time to question suspects in a murder investigation.

It is after the body of a man was found inside a vehicle in Helston Business Park on Wednesday (18 December).

Police have been granted a warrant of further detention by Bodmin Magistrates' Court, which allows them to detain the suspects for a further 36 hours.

Officers continue to appeal for anyone with information to come forward.

Police were called to the scene in the early hours of Wednesday morning following concerns for welfare.

A man in his 60s, from the Avon and Somerset area, was confirmed dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

Two women aged in their 50s and 80s, also from Avon and Somerset, were arrested on suspicion of murder, concealing a death, and preventing a lawful burial. They remain in police custody at this time.

Investigating officers are treating this incident as an isolated matter and are not seeking anyone else. It is believed all involved parties knew each other.

An increased police presence will remain at the business park as enquiries continue.

Anyone with information which may assist the investigation is asked to contact police on 101 or via their website quoting log 406 of 17 December.
