Man dies in campsite by Weston beachfront

A man has died at a campsite by the Weston Super Mare seafront, Avon and Somerset Police (AS Police) have confirmed.

Officers were called the site alongside the South Western Ambulance Service just after 8:20am on Saturday (23 September) to Uphill Road North, following reports of a medical incident.

In a statement a spokesperson for the police said one man was pronounced dead at the scene.

""Officers attended and the death is not being treated as suspicious," they said.

"A file will be prepared for the coroner."

The man's family have been told and AS Police say their sympathies are with them.
