Man charged with arson after fire in Timsbury

A 65-year-old man has been charged with arson with intent to endanger life after a fire near Bath.

Emergency services were called to a house in High Street in Timsbury yesterday morning (16/7).

People living nearby had to be evacuated from their homes after 'potentially suspicious devices' were found at the property.

The cordon was lifted at around 4.30pm.

Timothy Hurdle has been remanded in custody and will appear before Bristol Magistrates Court tomorrow (18/7).
