'Kill The Bill' protest to take place in Bristol today
Protest against the government policing bill starts at 1
A Kill the Bill protest is expected to take place in Bristol later.
It's part of a national day of action in a bid to stop the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Court Bill - which if passed would give more power to police to shut down demonstrations - with protesters facing the prospect of jail.
The event will start at College Green from 1 o'clock - followed by a march at 3. The day will finish with speeches and a vigil back at the College Green at 4 o'clock.
Other Kill the Bill protests are planned to take place in London, Coventry, Newcastle, Liverpool, Sheffield and Plymouth.
