Jury sworn in to hear murder trial of Claire Holland

It's 12 years since the mum-of-four disappeared in Bristol

A 41-year-old man has pleaded not guilty to the murder of a Bristol woman who vanished from the city more than a decade ago.

Claire Holland, who was 32 at the time, hasn't been seen from the city centre since 2012.

That's when she was last seen leaving the Seamus O’Donnell’s pub in St Nicholas Street.

It's reported her last sighting was at around 11.15pm on Wednesday 6 June 2012.

The jury in the the trial has today (October 12) been sworn in.

Appearing at Bristol Crown Court, 41-year-old Darren Osment from Chessel Drive, Patchway, South Gloucestershire, has denied killing Claire Holland, on a date between June 5 and June 8 2012.

Osment's trial is due to last up to seven weeks before Mrs Justice Cutts - with the eight men and four women of the jury told to return on Monday next week.
