Avon and Somerset Police say they've managed to identify human remains found in Bristol woodland earlier this month.

The discovery was made near Whittock Square in Stockwood on Sunday 14 November.

At the time officers said identifying the body would take several days and now, more than a week later, they have confirmed the remains are those of missing man Daniel Hill.

The 43-year-old went missing back in September, having last been seen near the Bristol Royal Infirmary.

In a short statement the police say their hearts go our to Daniel's family, while his death is not being treated as suspicious.
