Fresh police appeal after sexual assault in Bristol last August

Avon and Somerset Police have launched an appeal for information following the incident on August 12 last year

Avon and Somerset Police are appealing for help to after a sexual assault in Bristol.

It happened on Drummond Road in the city on the 14th of August, with the unknown man approaching the victim from behind.

Police say it happened at 23:30 that night.

In a statement, Avon and Somerset Police said: "The man in the CCTV is black, between 28-35 years old, of slim build, around 5ft 10ins tall, with short, black, hair. He is shown wearing a grey t-shirt and dark shorts.

"At around 11.30pm, an unknown man approached the victim, a woman in her 20s, from behind and sexually assaulted her by touching.

"Officers are also keen to speak with the man in the light blue t-shirt in the second video (below), who officers believe may have witnessed the incident."

Anyone who saw what happened, or has relevant footage to what happened, or can help the police in identifying any of the group involved, is urged to get in touch with the force on 101 - giving the call handler the reference number 5222200127.
