A fifth person has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the fatal stabbing of a teenager in Bristol.

Eddie Kinuthia (19), was stabbed near his family home in Gosvenor Road in St Pauls at around 11pm on Friday 21 July.

Avon and Somerset Police arrested a fifth person, a man in his 20s from Bristol, on Tuesday night (8 August), who has been released under investigation.

Another man who was arrested on Monday 7 August has also been released on conditional bail, while two other men remain on bail while enquires continue.

The final man, arrested near the scene on the night of the stabbing, is no longer considered a suspect.

Officers from the Major Crime Investigation Team still want to hear from anyone who was in Grosvenor Road or the park area between 10.30 and 11.30pm that Friday, or who saw two people in dark clothing riding an electric motorbike similar to a Sur-Ron in the area that night.

"If you can help us to find answers for Eddie's grieving family and friends, please call 101 and provide the call handler with the reference 5223175298 or quote Operation Barclay," a statement from Avon and Somerset Police reads.
