Cyclist injured after collision in Bedminster

A cyclist has been taken to hospital after a collision in Bedminster yesterday.

The incident happened at around 5:30pm on East Street.

Police say the cyclist's injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or life changing.

An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson says:

"We were called at around 5.30pm (Friday, August 25) to East Street, in Bedminster, Bristol, following reports of a collision between a pushbike and a car.

"The cyclist has been taken to hospital, his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or life changing.

"The road was closed while emergency services attended but was reopened at 7.55pm.

"We are appealing for witnesses, and anyone with any relevant footage, to call 101 and quote reference 5223206364."
