A man has appeared in court accused of outraging public decency near Weston-Super-Mare.

Joshua Hunt from Claverham is accused of a series of incidents involving someone approaching locals in North Somerset wearing a black latex suit.

The 31 year old appeared in Bristol Crown Court today (June 7) and did not enter any pleas to the four charges he is faced with.

Hunt is accused of two counts of affray and one count each of possession of a bladed article and committing an act of outraging public decency.

One of the affray charges and the possession of a bladed article charge relates to an incident in Bleadon, near Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, on May 9.

The second charge of affray relates to an incident in the same area on May 7.

The outraging public decency charge has been made in relation to and incident in Cleeve last October (25/10/2022).

Robert Yates appeared for the prosecution during the hearing, while Robert Morgan-Jones represented Hunt.

Judge Martin Picton said: "The trial date I will set for November 6."

A plea and trial preparation hearing was listed for June 23, with the trial in November expected to last four days.

Hunt has been remanded in custody until his next hearing date.
