15 fire engines attended the scene of the M5 crash a decade ago at 8.25pm and some are still getting support to this day.

The accident happened in thick fog and a later hearing ruled a nearby fireworks organiser was not to blame for the incident which occurred near to Junction five.

There's now a permanent memorial to those who died in Hankridge.

In a post online ahead of the anniversary, the firefighters and families of Martock Fire station wrote: "Those injuries both physically and mentally continue ten years on and the support that those affected in the emergency services receive from their families and through the Wellbeing Services of Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service has in some cases been life saving."

34 vehicles, including articulated lorries, collided in thick fog and 16 people were treated at Musgrove Park Hospital, with 26 at Yeovil District Hospital.
