Woman bitten by German Shepherd dog in Poole
The victim was bitten on the upper lip and forehead
A woman's been bitten by a German Shepherd dog in Poole - with Dorset Police looking to trace the owner.
The victim, in her 40s, was walking her Yorkshire Terrier on Canford Heath at around 1.30pm on Wednesday last week (19th October) when this happened.
She was walking along a narrow path when she was approached by another woman walking two German Shepherds.
The dogs ran towards them, so she picked up her terrier and one of the dogs jumped up and bit her upper lip and forehead.
The owner gave the victim a phone number before leaving the scene, but it's believed to have been false contact details.
She's described as having grey hair and wearing a blue coat or anorak.
Police are now trying to trace her.
PC Jennie Sykes-Martin, of Dorset Police, said:
“We are investigating this incident and I would urge any witnesses or anyone with information that might assist our enquiries to please come forward.
“I would also urge the owner of the dogs involved to please do the right thing and come forward so we can take your account of what happened.”
