Woman assaulted outside Weymouth pub

A woman's been assaulted outside a Weymouth pub in broad daylight.

The incident, involving a victim in her 20s, happened at the William Henry pub in Frederick Place at around 10.40am on Friday (15th September).

Dorset Police say they're providing assistance to the woman involved.

A 42 year old man from Weymouth has been arrested on suspicion of assault.

PC Joshua Westlake, of Weymouth police, said:

“I am carrying out an investigation to establish what happened and am keen to hear from anyone with information.

“There may have been a number of people outside the pub at the time and I would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident and has not already spoken to police.”
