Woman assaulted outside Weymouth church

She needed stitches to her forehead after the broad daylight attack

A woman's been assaulted outside a Weymouth church in broad daylight.

The victim suffered a cut to her forehead that needed stitches in an incident in St Mary Street at around 2.30pm last Saturday (25th March).

A suspect has been described as:

  • White
  • Around five feet five inches tall
  • Petite build
  • Long blonde hair
  • Wearing a cream coloured crop top

She was with another woman with brown hair.

PC Jody Durkin-Jones, of Weymouth police, said:

“We are carrying out enquiries into this assault and I would like to hear from any witnesses who have not already spoken to police.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who may have captured anything of relevance on mobile phone or dashcam footage.”
