Which causes should light up Weymouth's Jubilee Clock in 2025?

The Town Council's looking for nominations

Weymouth's Jubilee Clock will be lit up once again throughout 2025 to honour local causes - and we're asked to help choose them.

The Town Council's asked us to send in nominations for groups and charities that deserve to be recognised at the landmark to raise awareness.

One charity can be represented for three days each month next year, with an appropriate colour of lighting for them.

This year, the lights have included the clock going red, white and blue to mark the 80th anniversary of D-Day, as well as being illuminated for Weymouth Samaritans, the Nothe Fort, MV Freedom and the town's Repair Café amongst others.

The Royal British Legion will be honoured in November and the Salvation Army in December.

If you know of an organisation that should be taking part in 2025, we can nominate them through the Weymouth Town Council website. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/BQ2F5H7

Mayor of Weymouth, Cllr Jon Orrell, said:

“This is your chance to shine a light on the work of a local charity or organisation who you would like to be represented in next year’s Jubilee Clock light up scheme. So, please get your nominations in by midday on Monday 11th November to be in with a chance of being represented in 2025.”
