Wessex Water is asking its customers in Wiltshire and Dorset to 'continue to save water where we can', regardless of the weather conditions'.

The supplier's put out an update on its water resources level, following what felt like a pretty wet summer, and before the winter arrives.

They've said their current reservoir levels are at around 63%, which is slightly lower than the seasonal average.

But they've said groundwater levels generally are where they'd expect for this time of year.

Rainfall figures for the summer have also been shared, averaging out the downpours we've had across the Wessex Water region.

June and August saw less rain than we'd expect, but July was wetter, with 59mm of rain.

The company say after all that, the 'supply network is fully operational'.
