Water thrown at two men in Bournemouth in suspected hate crime
The incident on Westover Road is being investigated by police
Police are investigating a suspected hate crime in Bournemouth.
Two men were subjected to homophobic abuse as they walked along Westover Road, near the junction with Gervis Place, at around 1.00pm on Wednesday last week (27th March).
The same victims then had water thrown over them on Old Christchurch Road around 50 minutes later.
The offenders are described as being aged between 16 and 21, of slim build and average height.
They were wearing black Puffa-style coats with black hooded tops underneath, black Nike tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.
One was wearing a small black Trapstar shoulder bag and the other a black beanie hat.
PC Max Stewart, of Dorset Police, said:
“We take reports of hate crime seriously and will do all we can to support victims and identify potential offenders.
“We are following all available lines of enquiry and would ask anyone who witnessed either event happen, or has information about who was responsible, to please come forward.”
