A man and a woman have been seriously injured after their car collided with another outside Bournemouth Airport.

The crash happened in Parley Lane in Hurn at 10.30pm on Saturday (18th January), involving a silver Vauxhall Monaro and a red Toyota Yaris.

Police say neither of those seriously hurt, who were in the Yaris, are in a life-threatening situation.

The Vauxhall driver was treated for minor injuries at the scene.

Sergeant Dave Cotterill, of the Dorset Roads Policing Team, said:

“We are carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this collision and I am keen to hear from any witnesses to the incident, or the manner of driving of the vehicles involved prior to it.

“I would also urge any motorists who were driving in the vicinity around the relevant time period to please review any dashcam footage to see if they have captured anything that might assist our enquiries.

“Finally, I would like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding while the road closures were in place.”

The road had to be shut for around four hours into Sunday morning (19th January) while emergency services were on the scene.
