Three affordable housing schemes close to opening in Dorset
The Council's looking to 'increase the supply' of properties
Three new affordable housing schemes are set to open in Dorset in the coming weeks.
The Council's been working on the projects which will soon welcome their first residents.
We're told the sites include a community led housing project on Portland; an affordable scheme of 20 flats in Weymouth, which are all for social rent; and a set of homes specifically for first time buyers in Verwood
In a social media post, Paul Derrien, Dorset Council's Housing Enabling Team Leader said:
"These are all examples of partnership working, with community groups, housing developers, registered providers to increase the supply of affordable housing in Dorset."
