A teenage boy's been targeted in an attempted robbery of a scooter in Ferndown.

The 16 year old victim was approached by three men at the junction of Fitzpain Road and Ellesfield Drive at around 7.30pm on Wednesday 12th October.

The men, who were all wearing hooded tops, demanded a go on the boy's scooter.

He refused and one of the men grabbed his arm, while the others tried to take the scooter.

The teenager managed to get away, but was followed by the men.

As they reached the Tesla Centre on New Road, a car was forced into an emergency stop to avoid the victim and the men.

PC Matt Shewbridge, of Dorset Police, said:

“This incident understandably has left the victim feeling very distressed.

“I would like to speak to the owner of the vehicle who stopped at the scene of the incident as they may have important information or dashcam footage to help my enquiries.
