Teenager knocked off bike by van in Shaftesbury

The 14 year old boy was lucky not to be seriously hurt

A teenage boy has needed hospital treatment after being knocked off his bike by a van in Shaftesbury.

The collision happened on the A350 Grosvenor Road, at around 7.00am yesterday (Monday 27th February).

A Nissan panel van was involved.

A 14 year old local boy was taken to hospital by ambulance, but his injuries aren't thought to be serious.

PC Neil Hawkes, of North Dorset police, said:

“I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision, or the moments leading up to it, to please get in touch.

“Also, I am keen to hear from any motorists who captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.”
