Teenage girl bitten by dog in Bournemouth
She was cycling with her family in Queen's Park Golf Course
A teenage girl has needed stitches after being bitten by a dog in Bournemouth.
It was reported that at around 7.50pm on Sunday 21 April, the victim was cycling with members of her family in the Queen’s Park Golf Course when a dog ran across the path and bit her on the leg. She subsequently required stitches for her leg injury.
When challenged, the man with the dog left the scene without giving his details.
Descriptions
The man is described as aged in his 50s and of medium build with a grey stubbly beard. He was wearing a navy bobble hat, blue raincoat, burgundy fleece, blue waterproof trousers with black patches on the knees and pockets, and white trainers.
The dog is described as medium sized with light brown and white coloured short hair.
Police Constable Lily Edgar, of Bournemouth police, said: “This was a nasty incident in which a child sustained injuries to her leg.
“We have been carrying out enquiries into this incident and as we have now obtained full details from the victim’s mother, I am in a position to appeal for witnesses or anyone with information to contact us.
“I would also urge the man involved to please do the right thing and get in touch with us so we can take your account of what happened.”
