Teenage boy assaulted in Wimborne park

A 15 year old boy has been attacked at Redcotts Recreation Ground

A teenage boy's been left with bruising to his eye and a cut nose, following an assault in Wimborne,

The 15 year old victim was playing basketball with a friend at Redcotts Recreation Ground at around 4.00pm on Thursday 29th December.

They were approached by a male teenager and the victim was punched in the face, after what's been called a 'brief altercation' by police.

The offender's described as:

  • White
  • Aged around 15 to 17
  • Around five feet eight or nine tall
  • Wearing a black tracksuit
  • Green bandana covering his hair
  • Carrying a bottle of Fanta Orange

PC Matt Cutler, of East Dorset police, said:

“Our investigation is continuing and we have now obtained a full account from the victim.

“I understand a number of people came to the aid of the victim and I would ask them to please come forward as they may have information to help my enquiries.

“Also, I am keen to hear from anyone who recognises the boy from the description given or knows who may be responsible.”
