Stolen car involved in fail-to-stop crash in Bournemouth

Police are looking for information into the collision in Kinson

A car, reported as stolen, has been involved in a fail-to-stop in Bournemouth, with police investigating.

The collision happened after a silver Ford S-Max didn't stop for officers on Wimborne Road in Kinson at around 7.30pm last Monday (3rd February).

The vehicle continued along Castle Lane West, to Castlepoint, and Woodbury Avenue.

It then struck a blue Mazda CX-3 in Throop Road, with the driver and passenger leaving the scene on foot.

Officers carried out searches, but didn't locate the pair.

The Mazda driver wasn't seriously hurt.

PC Tom Ringer, of the Roads Policing Team, said:

“We are continuing to investigate the full circumstances of this incident to identify the two people who fled the scene.

“I would urge anyone who saw the collision, or captured anything of relevance of the incident or moments leading up to it on dashcam footage, to please come forward.”
