Seven arrests made in Bournemouth drug raids
Two teenagers were among those taken in by officers
Seven people - including two teenage boys - have been arrested as part of a drug dealing crackdown in Bournemouth.
Police carried out two raids in West Howe on Wednesday (23rd August).
Suspected class A and B drugs were also seized.
A 14 year old boy from Poole and a 15 year old boy from Bournemouth, as well as four Bournemouth men – aged 18, 20, 41 and 42 – were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a class A drug.
The 42 year old man was also arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a class B drug.
The two boys and two of the men, aged 18 and 20, have been released on police bail, while the two men aged in their 40s have been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
A 25 year old man from Bournemouth has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A and class B, and released under investigation.
Detective Inspector Amy Wilson, of Dorset Police, said:
“Following intelligence that was gathered, we were able to take positive action to demonstrate that we are absolutely committed to disrupting the activity of those who are suspected of dealing drugs in our communities.
“We want to send a clear message that any reported drug-related activity is not acceptable and we will do all we can to prevent it. We will also continue our efforts to safeguard vulnerable people who may be exploited by suspected drug dealers.
