Sentimental jewellery stolen in Bridport burglary

Damage was cause to a property in Lee Lane during the incident

Jewellery has been stolen during a burglary in Bridport, with damage also caused to the property.

A home in the area of Lee Lane was targeted at some point between 8.30am on Saturday 9th September, and 2.00pm on Sunday 10th.

Officers say the items taken were of great sentimental value to the victim.

They're urging anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area to get in touch.

PC Tim Sturgess, of Bridport police, said:

“Our investigation is ongoing and we have been making a number of enquiries, including house-to-house, to identify the person responsible.

“I am appealing for any witnesses to the incident or anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the area of King Charles Way and Lee Lane to please come forward.

“Also, I am keen to hear from anyone with relevant footage – either from dashcam or home CCTV.”
