Road rage incident investigated in North Dorset
It happened between Shaftesbury and Gillingham
A road rage incident is being investigated by police in North Dorset, with officers asking anyone with dash cam footage to come forward.
A man in his 20s was driving a red Citroen Picasso behind a silver Peugeot Partner van, on the B3081 between Shaftesbury and Gillingham at around 3.40pm last Sunday (20th November).
As they got to the access for Port Regis School, the van braked sharply before coming to a stop after indicating.
The Citroen also stopped and the van driver got out and approached the vehicle.
He shouted at the victim and assaulted him when the window was open - but he didn't sustain any injuries.
The Peugeot driver is described as:
- White
- Around six feet tall
- Short or balding hair
- Light coloured beard
There's now an appeal for any drivers who were in the area to get in touch with police.
PC Geraint Craig, of North Dorset police, said:
“We are carrying out enquiries into this matter and I would urge any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please contact us.
“I would also like to hear from anyone who may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.”
