A Poole street has been drawn out as the latest Millionaire Street on the Postcode Lottery - with each ticket winning £250,000.

Three neighbours on Alderney Avenue, BH12 4LF have got the famous 'knock on the door' today (Saturday 14th September).

One of them had two tickets in play, so picks up a prize of £500,000.

Among the winners is 40 year old NHS worker Amy House, who ironically says she'd like to buy a new front door with the cash!

She also wants to buy a family campervan and will visit her brother, who lives in California.

Amy, who works in Poole Hospital's maternity ward, said the win could help to speed up the completion of an extension to her and husband Tom’s home too.

On the same road, Brian Lewis and wife Chris were also celebrating after they £250,000.

65 year old Brian says he wants to splash out on his dream car of a Range Rover, and a holiday 'to relax and think about what we’re going to do with it'.

A portion of the ticket sales on the Postcode Lottery goes to local good causes.

Poole Communities Trust is among those who've benefitted, having been awarded £70,000 by the Postcode Community Trust.

Chief Officer at Poole Communities Trust, Hannah Baker, said:

“Today’s funding is absolutely incredible – we’re going to put some towards our priority services as well as a new skate park in the Turlin Moor area.

“We started the community food shop at Bourne Community Hub in 2022 and have seen the number of families that use it grow steadily since then.”
